Parents Council
PARENT COUNCIL
The School Council is about YOU the parent getting involved in your child's welfare. ALL parents/carers are encouraged and welcome to come along. We meet once a term, for one hour, usually at 9am. (Forthcoming meetings available on the school calendar)
Parents have a forum in which they can come together, share ideas and put forward their views to the Headteacher/Governors.The agenda is mostly governed by the members, with the focus on having a positive impact to your child's school life.
It also helps to build confidence, increase social skills and encourage networking (with a lovely cup of tea/coffee). It also helps improve the working relationship between school and home, aswell as breaking down any barriers.
"I find it useful coming to the council meetings as I have an input." Debra Bryant (Parent Council Member and School Governor).
